Tracey Almirall: Merrel Athlete, another novice in the race, but from an Adventure racing pedigree, so will be strong in the elements that make this race hard.
Gia Madole: Altra Athlete, USA 200 mile champion and adventurer extraordinaire. This race will suit her style and let’s hope it’s just not to short. Gia will be doing her best work on the back end of SkyRun 2016.

Elite men to watch:
Jock Green: Salomon Athlete, local runner who has many SkyRun podium finishes.
Bruce Arnett: Innovate Athlete, 13 Time winner and often referred to as Mr SkyRun, coming off an injury layoff so it will be interesting to see if he has the training in his legs to defend his crown.

Lucky Mia: K-Way Athlete, SkyRun rookie, but a runner who can make light work of this course if he can come to terms with the distance. One of SA’s top runners in the shorter distances this will be Lucky’s first 100km trail race.
