Cellar to Cellar Wine Experience

This past weekend saw the running of the anual Cellar to Cellar Wine Experience and Trail Runs by Iqela Events.

Starting and finishing at Blaauwklippen off the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West. These participating wine farms, all well known for their exceptional wines, will tempt participants to linger and taste their wines along with a pairing or 2.

Miya and Mackenzie winners at FNB Platinum Trail Run

This weekend saw two of South Africa's Team Members for the World Long Distance Trail Champs both claim victory in the FNB Platinum Trail Run. This is extremely exciting news for us as it means that our athletes are in top shape and ready to show the World what they can do on the 4th July in Zermatt.

Just under 600 trail running enthusiasts gathered at Buffelspoort Dam (North West Province) on Sunday, 25 January 2015 to partake in the much anticipated PUMA Trail Run.

Forming part of the action of South Africa’s largest off road triathlon, the Totalsports XTERRA presented by REHIDRAT SPORT, the PUMA Trail Run incorporates the XTERRA trail run routes.  Edwin Sesipi and Leilani Scheffer successfully defended their titles in the 12km race crossing the finish line first in 48 minutes 09 seconds and 01 hour 01 minute 21 seconds respectively.

So the day has arrived that our 5 SA athletes will be climbing the World Renowned Pikes Peak. The World Long Distance Trail Champs 2014 kicks off today SA time at 15:00. The event consists of a 21km climb up Pikes Peak.

SA Trail Champs 2014| Merrell Outeniqua Traverse Race Report

Friday night was windy and unusually warm with a bright full moon creating the uneasy atmosphere that is so typical before a big event. However, by the time registration started on the Saturday morning, the wind began to die down and with the forecasted rainstorm still hours away, the weather was perfect for a big showdown. The only indication of something brewing was the serious look on the faces of the top athletes and a flurry of warm-up routines from early on.

First Ascent Mast Challenge

On the 10th of May the well know First Ascent Mast Challenge was held in Cape Town and the Cape Doctor definitely showed her strength. The rain came down but the Cape showed her true beauty. A huge well done to both Andre Calitz and Landie Greyling who claimed line honors in the run - both running respectable times for the 10.5km climb.
